Job summary

Philosophy Education is recruiting for a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich seeking a caring SENCO to join in January. The role requires a qualified SENCO with QTS and the ability to teach with a reduced loading.

You will coordinate all SEND support, develop the school SEND policy, and work with parents, external agencies, and staff to ensure high-quality provision. A strong team player with excellent organisation is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENCO with QTS
• SENCO qualification required
• Experience coordinating SEND in a secondary school
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to prioritise and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all SEND support and develop the school SEND policy
• Liaise with external agencies (e.g. Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychologist)
• Update SEND records and monitor pupil progress and needs
• Provide specialist support for teachers and staff
• Write Personal Learning Plans (PLP) for individual pupils
• Prepare Education, Health and Care Plans
• Organise staff training on meeting pupil needs
