Job summary

Dorset Council is hiring for a SEND casework role focused on children, young people up to 25, managing EHCPs and statutory processes. You’ll collaborate with SEND specialists, family workers, educational psychologists, and social care colleagues to ensure timely, right-size support.

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Motivated, organised and able to manage a complex caseload.

Responsibilities

• Own a varied caseload, managing all aspects of SEND casework for under-25s, including EHCPs.
• Progress Education Health and Care needs assessments and statutory processes.
• Work with SEND specialists, family workers, educational psychologists and social care colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records, manage complex cases, meet statutory deadlines, and oversee mediations and appeals.
