Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is actively recruiting an experienced SEND Casework Officer to manage EHCP caseloads for children and young people. You will be responsible for handling statutory processes, coordinating annual reviews and transfers, and liaising with families, schools and professionals across education, health and social care teams.

The role is hybrid with 37 hours per week, offering a daily rate of £250-£280 and monthly office attendance in Oxfordshire.

Qualifications

• Experience managing EHCP casework in a Local Authority setting.
• Strong knowledge of EHCP statutory processes and timescales.
• Proven ability to coordinate Annual Reviews and Phase Transfers.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and stakeholder management.
• High organisation, attention to detail and resilience in a busy environment.
• Experience with SEND Tribunal processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a defined caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
• Coordinating and monitoring Annual Reviews and Phase Transfers.
• Managing cases moving into and out of the county.
• Monitoring EHCP provision and ensuring plans are implemented effectively.
• Acting as a key contact for families, schools and professionals.
• Managing complex casework and supporting mediation and Tribunal processes.
• Preparing information and reports for decision-making panels, mediation and Tribunals.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and databases.
• Ensuring Draft, Final and amended EHCPs are accurate and of a high standard.
• Working closely with education, health, social care, finance and commissioning teams.
• Supporting quality assurance and contributing to the development of SEND policies and processes.
