Job summary

PK Education is seeking an experienced HLTA SEN to join our supportive school community in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering high-quality learning and pastoral support to pupils with SEND, under the direction of teaching staff.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to implement support strategies, monitor progress and promote inclusion and positive behaviour in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planned lessons and learning activities.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and learning practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead learning activities and support classroom delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN and disabilities.
• Delivering planned lessons and activities under supervision.
• Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support.
• Adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback.
• Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Taking responsibility for classroom activities as needed.
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment.
