Job summary

Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEN school in the KT24 Leatherhead area, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will have HLTA or SEN TA experience and be ready to take on greater responsibility.

You will support teaching staff, deliver learning activities, lead small groups and provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, building positive relationships in a calm, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• DBS on the Update Service (UDS) – essential.
• Right to Work in the UK – essential.
• Must not require sponsorship.
• Previous experience working with children/young people in SEN.
• Available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver learning activities under teacher direction
• Lead small-group activities and, where appropriate, whole-class activities
• Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
• Support behaviour and emotional regulation
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
