Job summary

Ministry of Justice, Judicial Office: Strategy, Information and Digital, is seeking a Senior Security Officer for Incident Response and Operational Liaison. The post supports safeguarding judicial independence across England and Wales with a new intelligence-led function.

The role delivers 24/7 incident response, strong stakeholder engagement, and liaison with police, intelligence agencies and government partners. Hybrid working is available with 60% office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal security, risk, resilience, investigations or operational response.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive relationships across organisational boundaries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work towards Security Institute membership; security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7/365 incident triage and initial assessment, advising on next steps.
• Be the key point of contact for judicial office holders reporting security incidents or threats.
• Liaise with operational partners (police, intelligence, HMCTS, MoJ) and arrange close protection when appropriate.
