Job summary

Samsara is seeking a senior Security Incident Response professional to join the Security Operations Team in the UK. You will monitor security events, lead incidents through to resolution, and develop runbooks and automated workflows.

You will mentor engineers and coordinate cross-team investigations to protect employee and company data. You will build and share rapid response guidance, collaborate with Legal, Compliance and IT, and help refine security processes while working flexible UK hours

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Incident Response.
• Ability to communicate investigative findings to technical staff, executive leadership, and legal.
• Ability to build scripts or tools to support investigations, with proficiency in Python.
• Mentor and train security operation engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Lead during security incident response and coordinate across teams.
• Understanding of analysis and forensics techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Experience utilizing SIEM tools to perform log reviews.
• Experience in cloud architecture and security (AWS, GCP).
• Hours aligned to UK time and flexible around team load in EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts.
• Lead information security incidents and insider investigations; develop incident response strategy.
• Deliver security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives.
• Coordinate building of services, integrations and implementations to support security operations.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.
• Participate in on-call rota covering weekends.
