Job summary

Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch) is seeking technical Security Engineers for AWS Security Incident Response to learn rapidly and work in teams to keep customers secure. You will lead security response, explain concepts to non-technical audiences, and operate with AWS technologies at scale.

Responsibilities include threat triage, incident handling, and collaboration with partner teams, with on-call duties and commitment to continual learning and improvement of security controls.

Qualifications

• Experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation.
• Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance.
• Knowledge of system, network and OS.

Responsibilities

• Respond to threat findings that indicate unauthorized activity has occurred.
• Identify, evaluate and communicate security threats, risks and vulnerabilities, and propose remediation.
• Contribute to the development of security automation and security posture improvements.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of detective controls such as AWS GuardDuty and partner products.
• Develop processes and policies to increase security response effectiveness.
• On-call support, including periodic weekends.
