Job summary

Samsara seeks an experienced security engineer to lead vulnerability management and related security programs. You will drive remediation, build automation, and set the technical direction for the program across cloud, firmware/IoT, and corporate systems.

The role requires mentoring peers, communicating risk to leadership, and being on-call for critical incidents from the UK-based remote location. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in security with Go, Python, and JavaScript, strong AWS

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience as a cloud or security engineer.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, and JavaScript.
• Ability to set technical direction for security programs and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operation, and improvement of vulnerability management and related security programs.
• Drive MTTR down across the backlog and ensure SLAs are met.
• Build automation and tooling to scale detection and response across cloud, firmware/IoT, and corporate systems.
• Set architectural direction and translate priorities into execution plans.
• Mentor engineers in secure design and remediation practices and advise on risk tradeoffs.
• Participate in security incident investigations and be on-call for critical response.
