Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Senior Security Architect to shape and maintain security architecture strategy, roadmaps, and reusable patterns across strategic transformation programmes. You will lead security architecture workshops, reviews, and assurance activities, ensuring secure-by-design outcomes throughout the technology lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of Security Architecture, you will collaborate with Enterprise, Solution, and OT teams to implement proportionate controls,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Security Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience leading security architecture across full solution lifecycles.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, CAF and Secure by Design.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into practical controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture strategy development, roadmaps, principles, standards and reusable patterns.
• Provide architecture leadership across transformation programmes and secure-by-design practices.
• Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments and architecture risk identification.
• Develop and govern security architecture artefacts, guardrails and reference architectures.
• Lead architecture governance reviews, design authorities and stage-gate assurance.
• Collaborate with Enterprise/Solution Architects, Security Engineering and OT stakeholders to embed security across initiatives.
