Job summary

South West Water Limited in Exeter is seeking a Security Design & Engineering Analyst to strengthen cyber security across IT and OT. You will design, implement and improve security controls and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work with infrastructure, cloud, networking and governance teams to deliver secure, resilient environments and develop your career in a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Engineering or related security domains.
• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring and supporting security technologies.
• Experience translating security requirements into practical solutions.
• Experience managing or supporting vulnerability tooling and reporting.
• Experience conducting security assessments and stakeholder reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting across security tooling and integrations.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell or Python).

Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, integrate and support security technologies up to business as usual.
• Act as SME for designated security platforms and controls, driving improvements.
• Produce technical designs, standards, plans and support docs.
• Translate security requirements into operational controls and procedures.
• Validate monitoring, logging and access controls; ensure vulnerability visibility.
• Support proof-of-concept activities, product evaluations and testing.
• Develop runbooks, standards and build documentation.
• Investigate tooling, integration and reporting issues.
• Support OT security requirements including remote access and resilience.
