Job summary

Artificial in London is seeking a senior technical security architect to shape secure development standards across the product and platform. You’ll partner with engineers to embed security by design, run threat modelling, and define cloud security, identity, and data protection strategies.

You’ll elevate security practices across the engineering and product teams, influence risk decisions, and mentor others. A background in InsurTech or regulated industries is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Senior or principal security architecture role in cloud-based software
• Hands-on cloud security covering configuration, access, identity, encryption
• Threat modelling, secure coding, OWASP Top 10 awareness, automated security testing
• Vulnerability management, data security, and software supply-chain (SBOMs) practices
• Pragmatic, engineering-friendly approach that accelerates delivery
• Clear communicator who translates risk into actionable decisions

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, hands-on security guidance across the development lifecycle
• Own secure development standards and coordinate penetration testing
• Run threat modelling on high-risk work and train teams to do it
• Set cloud security standards, including configuration, access, and encryption
• Define how to judge vulnerability severity and remediation priority
• Design identity and privileged access controls and strong authentication
• Lead data security, data classification, and data-loss-prevention tooling
• Evaluate security for high-risk suppliers
