Job summary

Capco is seeking a Principal Security Engineer in London (Hybrid) to lead the design and implementation of secure systems across cloud and on-premise platforms. You will embed security-by-design throughout the SDLC and drive AI-enabled security tooling with human oversight.

Responsibilities include leading vulnerability assessments, reviewing code and audits, and shaping security standards and data protection strategies for Tier 1 financial clients.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with security ecosystems like Palo Alto or Microsoft.
• Solid cloud security knowledge for AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with secure coding, endpoint protection, SIEM and IAM.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP and responsible AI guardrails.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go for automation; Zero Trust experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide security controls with AI automation.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate across teams to champion secure development and responsible AI usage.
• Lead vulnerability assessments, code reviews and security audits with proper human review.
• Develop and evolve security standards and data protection strategies.
