Job summary

Artificial Labs in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior technical security leader to set standards and guardrails across our product and platform. You will work hands-on with engineers to build securely and influence security decisions early in the lifecycle.

You’ll own secure development standards, run threat modelling for high‑risk work, and shape cloud security, identity, vulnerability management and data protection.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior or principal security roles in cloud software.
• Hands-on practice in threat modelling and secure coding practices.
• Experience with SBOMs and modern security tooling.
• Ability to communicate risk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, hands-on security guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Own secure development standards and coordinate security testing.
• Conduct threat modelling on high-risk work and train teams to do it themselves.
• Define guardrails for cloud environments, access control and encryption.
• Determine vulnerability severity and remediation priorities.
• Design identity and privileged access controls and data protection policies.
• Lead data security efforts and manage supplier security assessments.
• Mentor engineers to improve secure design decisions.
