Job summary

Barclay Simpson in London is seeking an experienced, senior Security Architect to own the organisation's security strategy, roadmap and standards. This hands-on role covers cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments with technical authority over cyber security.

The successful candidate will drive security designs from strategy to execution, working closely with Information Security, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams. Hybrid work requires 2 days in the City office; visa sponsorship is not available.

Job description

A leading international professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Security Architect in London. This is a senior, hands-on architecture position with genuine ownership of the organisation’s technology security strategy, roadmap and standards.

This role will see you acting as the technical authority for cyber security, owning security architecture across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments. You’ll take security designs from strategy and roadmap through to execution, while working closely with senior technology leadership, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams.

The successful candidate will be an established Security Architect (not someone making their first move into architecture). You’ll need strong experience across Azure security, IAM and PAM, Zero Trust, SASE/SSE, threat modelling, and enterprise security architecture. Experience establishing security governance around AI and emerging technologies will also be particularly relevant.

This would particularly suit someone who has operated within a law firm, professional services, financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environment and is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders while remaining technically credible.

The role is London-based with a hybrid working model requiring 2 days a week in the City office.
