Job summary

EKFB, appointed by High Speed Two, is seeking a freelance Section Engineer to join the Buckingham team. You will report to the Sub Agent, supervise the site engineering team from construction through close out, and assist with temporary works design and resource planning.

You will manage the setting-out team, coordinate with Sub-Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials, monitor subcontractors to contractual standards, and contribute to progress reports and cost forecasts

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent, working towards ICE membership
• Demonstration of site engineering activities with construction supervision experience
• Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle
• CSCS card (White/White-Yellow/Red - Experienced/Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor)

Responsibilities

• Supervise the site engineering team from construction through to close out.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise to allocate labour, plant and materials.
• Coordinate with Sub Agent and Section Foreman to ensure works meet standards, programme and budget.
• Manage the setting-out team and monitor performance and development of Site Engineers.
• Assist with programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to forecasts.
