Job summary

Linsco is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a leading civil contractor delivering highways and infrastructure across the South East. Based in Colchester, you will lead setting out, QA, and engineering records to support the site team.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, CSCS, SMSTS, and proven experience on civil projects, with skills in Leica/Trimble, AutoCAD, and NEC contracts. Travel across the South East is required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS qualification.
• Experience as Section/Senior/Site Engineer on civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out, surveying techniques and QA procedures.
• Experience with highways, drainage and RC/infrastructure schemes.
• Proficient with Leica/Trimble GPS equipment and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out using surveying equipment and coordinate with site teams.
• Produce accurate engineering records and RA/MS and RAMS as required.
• Support Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor with valuations and variations.
• Ensure works meet specifications, ITPs and safety standards.
• Mentor Graduate and Junior Engineers and manage sectional setting-out requirements.
