Colchester-based civil engineering opportunity for a Section Engineer / Senior Engineer. You will set out works, support the site management team and ensure quality and safety standards across highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes.

Role involves liaising with project teams, producing RAMS, maintaining records and assisting with valuations. Requires NEC3/NEC4 familiarity, AutoCAD and Leica/Trimble survey gear, plus a full UK driving licence and travel across the South East.

Competenze

• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Experience as Section Engineer/Senior Engineer/Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of setting out, surveying techniques and QA procedures.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Mansioni

• Carry out setting out duties using Leica, Trimble or equivalent equipment.
• Collaborate with Site Agents, Project Managers and site teams to deliver engineering activities.
• Prepare quality take-offs and support engineering control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and review RAMS and support safe systems of work.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and ITPs.
• Maintain accurate sectional setting out records and as-built surveys.
• Support the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager with valuations, variations and events.
• Identify technical and commercial risks and escalate as appropriate.
• Mentor Graduate and Junior Engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
