Job summary

Semble is seeking a Senior SDET to lead the evolution of our test automation framework and embed quality as a shared engineering discipline. You will design AI-augmented workflows, establish reliable Playwright-based testing, and drive CI integration, data management, and observability.

You will coach engineers, set quality gates, and help reduce flaky tests while expanding coverage across unit, API, and integration tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
• Strong track record of designing, building, and evolving automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building AI-augmented or agentic quality workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with TypeScript-based automation frameworks; Playwright desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead evolution of Semble's test automation capability and quality discipline.
• Design safe, maintainable agent workflows with clear responsibilities and controls.
• Establish foundations: Playwright framework, CI integration, test data management, observability.
• Set up quality gates in CI and PR workflows with actionable failure reporting.
• Rationalise E2E suite by aligning tests to unit/API/integration levels.
• Expand test coverage and surface quality gaps earlier in development lifecycle.
• Contribute to quality strategy and tooling decisions.
• Coach engineers and SDETs on test design and Playwright.
