Job summary

British Gypsum is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Testing to join the East Leake Innovation Centre. The role combines hands-on laboratory analysis with method development to support product development and technical projects across our global operations.

You will work with GC-MS, HPLC, TGA and DSC instrumentation, develop robust analytical methods, interpret data, and communicate findings to stakeholders. The position is full-time and on-site with flexible working arrangements discussed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science with industrial experience, or a PhD in a related field.
• Experience with GC-MS, HPLC, TGA and/or DSC in an industrial lab.
• Ability to develop, optimise or validate analytical methods in an industrial setting.
• Strong data interpretation, report writing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Senior Scientist - Analytical Testing

East Leake, Nottingham Fulltime, 5 days onsite

At British Gypsum, we're looking for a Senior Scientist to join our Analytical Team, helping to deliver high-quality analysis, innovation and technical expertise across our global business.

This role sits within our R&D team and offers the opportunity to become a specialist in analytical testing for gypsum-based products. Working with samples from across Saint-Gobain's global businesses, you'll combine hands-on laboratory analysis with method development and technical problem-solving, helping internal customers make informed decisions and drive product innovation. You'll be part of a highly skilled team recognised as a centre of excellence for gypsum analysis across the wider Saint-Gobain Group

What we're looking for
