Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a committed Senior Chef to join the kitchen team at Elstree School. You’ll support food preparation, with a passion for bakery/dessert, helping maintain high standards and delivering daily meals and events.

You will join Holroyd Howe, a leading UK contract caterer for independent schools and colleges, dedicated to training and development for all staff and bespoke catering for children of all ages.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in contract catering or school environment.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal food and creative presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and high food safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service.
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met.
• Contribute to innovative menu planning.
• Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service.
• Support events and functions with school life.
