Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking an Advanced Scaffolder to work in Appledore, England, delivering erection, modification and dismantling of complex scaffolding according to drawings and TG20/SG4.

You will read designs, plan scaffold requirements, and ensure inspections and handover documentation are completed to high safety and quality standards. The role offers competitive pay, holiday entitlement, pension and growth opportunities within naval projects.

Qualifications

• Valid CISRS Scaffolder Card.
• Significant experience in industrial/marine/shipbuilding/heavy engineering environments.
• Extensive knowledge of TG20, SG4, and Work at Height Regulations.
• Ability to read scaffold design drawings and technical plans.
• Experience inspecting, modifying and certifying scaffolding structures.
• Strong understanding of scaffolding materials, loadings, and structural principles.
• Ability to complete scaffold handover certificates and inspection records.
• Experience leading or supervising scaffolding teams.
• Good knowledge of site safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

• Erect, modify and dismantle complex scaffolding per designs and TG20/SG4.
• Construct independent, birdcage, cantilever, suspended scaffolds and other access structures.
• Read and interpret scaffold drawings and technical documentation.
• Assess work areas and determine suitable scaffold solutions for operational needs.
• Ensure scaffolding components are inspected prior to use and fit for purpose.
• Carry out scaffold inspections before handover and after adverse weather; maintain records.
