Job summary

Zero Global is seeking a Field Based Project Engineer (Senior Authorised Person – SAP) to lead HV/LV installations across UK projects in EV, renewables, and industrial sectors. You will oversee junior staff and ensure safe, professional electrical network installations.

Role requires experience at 11kV/33kV/132kV levels, strong problem-solving, and ability to manage RAMS. UK driving licence and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced Project Engineer with a proven track record in the energy sector.
• Experience working for an ICP/ DNO / IDNO at 11kV/33kV/132kV.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, RAMS and safety documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and project lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV & LV network installations for major low-carbon projects.
• Supervise all site personnel working on HV & LV networks.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems.
• Plan, coordinate projects and fault response calls.
• Support training to progress team to LV AP/HV AP roles.
• Audit, report, and manage budgets; standby engineer for O&M portfolio.
