Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Sales Engineer to develop innovative warehouse automation solutions for customers across the UK and beyond. You will translate customer requirements into commercially competitive, technically viable programs and lead the pre-contract phase of major automation projects.

The role involves analysing data, leading bids, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value and drive growth in intralogistics.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering; master preferred.
• Experience in automated material handling or intralogistics.
• Experience in international, project-based environments.
• Strong data analysis and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial mindset and stakeholder management.
• Experience leading bids or technical sales projects.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and business needs to develop logistics solutions.
• Lead technical specifications throughout tender process.
• Develop innovative warehouse automation solutions with supplier tech.
• Create solutions delivering customer value while remaining commercially competitive.
• Manage full bidding process: planning, procurement, pricing, internal acceptance.
• Present proposed technical solutions to customers with pricing and layouts.
• Prepare final proposal documentation and support contract submissions.
• Manage handover from sales to project execution.
• Contribute to sales strategy, product development, and training.
• Lead multiple projects and coach other Sales Engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement with tools and concepts.
