Job summary
SGN is seeking a Senior Risk & Policy Manager to provide strategic oversight of Safety Risk, Policy & Business Partnering within our organisation. You will design risk-based deployment, ensure alignment with our Safety Management System (SMS), and drive measurable reductions in risk across the business.
You will lead risk and policy leads, translating complex assurance findings into actionable strategies while influencing senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and policy governance.
- Mastery of risk-based prioritisation and allocation of resources.
- Ability to translate assurance findings into actionable policy or treatment plans.
- High-level influencing skills to advise senior leadership with evidence-based insights.
- Experience leading senior specialists and navigating third-party safety partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership of the SGN Safety Risk operating model and alignment with SMS.
- Oversee policy adoption and assurance outputs across the business.
- Develop a multi-year roadmap for specialist risk interventions aligned with SMS and engineering standards.
- Provide senior leadership with evidence-based insights on risk and resource allocation.
- Lead and inspire Risk & Policy Leads to tie performance to strategic safety outcomes.
