Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a proactive Designated Safeguarding Lead for our Bristol-area school. You will lead safeguarding activities, liaise with agencies, parents and staff, and provide expert guidance on wellbeing and child protection to the team.

You will report to the Head Teacher and collaborate with colleagues across Witherslack Group locations to promote a safe, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
• Portfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills.
• Genuinely empathetic approach is essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding within the school on a daily basis.
• Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff on wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Provide support, advice and expertise to the team.
• Work with the leadership team to ensure pupils' safety and progress.
