Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead to oversee safeguarding across the school, coordinating with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff on wellbeing and protection matters.

You will be a key member of the leadership team, providing expert advice, ensuring a safe environment, and supporting pupils with complex needs. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and a proactive safeguarding mindset.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
• Genuinely empathetic approach is essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding within the school and liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff.
• Provide advice and expertise on wellbeing and child protection to the team.
• Collaborate with leadership and other Witherslack Group colleagues to support pupils' needs.
