Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead to oversee safeguarding within the school and collaborate with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff. You will act as a trusted source of support and guidance on wellbeing and safeguarding matters.

You will have at least 3 years of DSB leadership experience, a proactive approach, and a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding best practice across a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to safeguarding and child protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
• A genuinely empathetic approach is essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for safeguarding within the school and liaise with agencies, parents, carers and staff daily.
• Provide support, advice and expertise to the team on wellbeing, child protection and safeguarding.
