Job summary

New City College in London is seeking a Senior Safeguarding Manager to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead, lead on serious cases, and help train staff. You will help keep our campuses safe and ensure safeguarding systems are robust.

You will represent the college externally, contribute to safeguarding policies and training plans, and oversee budgets while line-managing staff. A Level 4 safeguarding qualification and strong knowledge of OFSTED safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in Safeguarding (or equivalent).
• Experience handling complex safeguarding cases and working with young people.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills; IT system proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support safeguarding and Prevent initiatives campus-wide.
• Manage serious safeguarding cases and provide expert advice.
• Train and support safeguarding staff across the campus.
• Represent the college at external meetings and boards.
• Contribute to safeguarding policies, training plans, and quality reports.
• Oversee budgets and line manage staff in your area.
