Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. Leamington Spa-based college seeks an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead to protect and support learners aged 14 to 16 across on-site provision.

You will manage safeguarding referrals, advise staff on child protection and Prevent, maintain records and liaise with external agencies. This permanent, full-time, term-time-only role (37 hours/week, 40 weeks/year) offers a thorough training programme, strong welfare focus and benefits including health support, pension

Qualifications

• Professional, academic or vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, plus Level 2 English or willingness to achieve.
• Recent Designated Safeguarding Lead training or relevant safeguarding experience.
• Experience leading safeguarding in education settings.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent and Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding referrals and provide advice on child protection and Prevent.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding records.
• Liaise with external agencies and support safeguarding for learners aged 14 to 16 and vulnerable students.
• Support safeguarding arrangements for learners in off-site or residential provision.
