Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children (Band 7) to join the Safeguarding Children team across sites. The role supports staff, leads on safeguarding strategy and training, and deputises for the Named Nurse when required.

Qualifications

• Active registration with NMC or HCPC.
• UK recognised degree in a healthcare profession.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development through CPD portfolio and revalidation.
• Experience working in safeguarding children.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective, evidence-based safeguarding advice and consultation to staff across the Trust.
• Attend strategy discussions and lead multi-agency safeguarding processes.
• Deliver safeguarding teaching packages and supervision across the Trust.
• Deputise for the Named Nurse at reviews and contribute to trauma-informed strategy development.
• Lead on policy development and audit related to safeguarding.
