Job summary

Orbit Group is seeking a proactive Safeguarding Officer to join the Advisory Services team. You will manage safeguarding caseloads, advise colleagues and customers, and collaborate with Local Authorities and partner agencies to ensure safe outcomes for adults and children.

The role requires strong communication, risk assessment, and the ability to travel across operating areas in a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ safeguarding experience in housing/local authority settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
• Proven ability to work with partners across agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding caseload within agreed frameworks.
• Engage with customers by phone to gather information and provide support.
• Liaise with Local Authorities and partner agencies as needed.
• Deliver professional safeguarding advice and signpost services.
