Job summary

Bottomline Technologies is hiring a Senior SaaS Platform Operations Engineer to join the UK Platform Operations team in Theale. You will own cloud operations for production SaaS platforms, focusing on availability, deployments, monitoring and automation.

The role requires strong Azure expertise, experience with AKS, App Services, Key Vault and monitoring tooling. You will collaborate with global Engineering, DevOps and Support to deliver secure, scalable services and support on-call incident

Qualifications

Strong Azure experience with AKS, App Services, Networking, Storage and Key Vault.
Experience troubleshooting distributed apps, cloud infra and deployment pipelines.
Linux and Windows administration experience.
Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support production SaaS platforms to ensure availability, performance and reliability.
Investigate and resolve platform, deployment, application and authentication issues, including SSO incidents.
Execute and support application deployments, configuration changes and release activities.
Create, maintain and improve operational runbooks, recovery procedures and SOPs.
Configure and optimise monitoring and alerting to improve incident detection and response.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve platform resilience and release quality.
Produce availability and operational reporting for continuous improvement.
Support audit, compliance and security activities across the platform estate.
Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota and incident recovery.
