Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is recruiting a Rural Surveyor/Associate in Dumfries for a varied portfolio within rural estate management and consultancy. You will work with an experienced Property & Forestry team, delivering retained services and directing projects from inception to completion.

The role requires MRICS and CAAV qualifications (or progress toward), plus strong business development and rural property knowledge. Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification and CAAV qualification or progress toward them.
• Strong technical skills in rural property and consultancy work.
• Good knowledge of the rural property market and market dynamics.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day rural estate management matters.
• Providing strategic advice to rural estates and landowners.
• Advising on landlord and tenant matters, property management and rights.
• Taking projects from inception through to completion.
• Assisting with compulsory purchase and utility scheme work.
• Managing client instructions from start to finish.
• Preparing fee estimates and quotations.
• Supervising, coaching and mentoring junior surveyors.
• Building strong client relationships and with other advisers.
• Identifying opportunities to develop new and existing client relationships.
• Collaborating across disciplines to deliver wider services.
