Job summary

Bear Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to design and implement production-quality software for humanoid and mobile-manipulation robots.

The role covers motion planning, state estimation, and real-time control, with hardware bring-up and cross-team collaboration. The ideal candidate has strong C++/Python skills, experience with ROS/ROS 2, and a track record of leading technically complex integration projects.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience building software for physical robots or complex autonomous systems.
• Excellent modern C++ and Python skills, with high code quality and testing focus.
• Deep knowledge in kinematics, dynamics, control, motion planning, state estimation or sensor fusion.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain production-quality robotics software for humanoid and mobile-manipulation systems.
• Develop and integrate motion planning, trajectory generation, whole-body control, manipulation, state estimation and robot coordination components.
• Bring up hardware, integrating actuators, sensors, compute, communications and safety into a robot platform.
• Build robust interfaces between robotics subsystems and product-level task execution.
• Lead technical projects from design through integration and field validation; mentor engineers.
