Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Teleoperation Control Engineer to build the systems enabling safe, precise control of advanced humanoid robots. You will craft teleoperation capabilities, intuitive operator experiences, and robust real-time data pipelines across hardware and software interfaces.

The role supports strong candidates from junior to staff level, with emphasis on hands-on robotics, software quality, and product-minded design for safe, reliable operator control.

Qualifications

• Strong robotics theory and practice across control, perception, and real-time systems.
• Experience building teleoperation systems or operator UIs.
• Ability to write reliable software with ROS/ROS2 and real-time data streams.

Responsibilities

• Develop teleoperation capabilities for manipulation, mobility, and loco-manipulation tasks.
• Design intuitive operator experiences with input mappings, visualizations, and feedback loops.
• Integrate input devices like VR controllers, gloves, haptic devices, motion capture into the stack.
• Translate noisy human input into smooth, stable robot commands with safe behavior.
• Build robotics teleoperation infrastructure for real-time data streaming, calibration, and logging.
• Develop shared-autonomy features blending human intent with robot capability.
