Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for robotics to engineer software for our cell therapy manufacturing platform. You will design, build, test and improve software spanning interfaces with robots, low-level control and factory orchestration.

You’ll work with robotics and software teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, mentor peers, and ensure high-quality software delivered at pace. Hands-on hardware experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering complex software across the full development lifecycle.
• Strong Python programming proficiency.
• Understanding of OO design patterns and backend services integration.
• Experience with distributed systems and messaging.
• Good mentoring skills and code quality mindset.
• Willingness to work hands-on with robotics hardware.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of design, architecture, and maintenance of software components across the robotics platform.
• Integrate software with robots, devices and equipment.
• Develop and run tests on hardware to verify behaviour and diagnose Failures.
• Advance quality through tests, CI, and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge across teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines to resolve integration issues and deliver features.
