Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a hands-on Robotics Engineer to join the Robotics Engineering Team. You will help develop, test and improve robotic systems that underpin our automation platform, working with software, mechanical, electrical and systems engineers to ensure reliability in real-world applications.

The role focuses on software integration on existing hardware, data-driven improvements, and contributing to the ROS-based software stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering, CS or related field.
• Strong understanding of robotics, automation or electromechanical systems.
• Programming experience in Python for testing, automation or data analysis.
• Structured approach to testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to analyse technical data and communicate findings clearly.
• Understanding hardware-software interaction in integrated systems.
• Good communication in a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate robotic systems, developing and executing test plans.
• Support system integration of hardware, software, sensors and components.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collect, process and analyse test data to evaluate performance.
• Produce clear technical reports, investigations, conclusions and recommendations.
• Contribute to ROS-based software stack, writing/modifying code for reliability.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to improve system design.
