Job summary

AUAR in London is seeking a Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer to own the simulation capability for its MicroFactory robotic system. You will manage physics-based environments, digital twins, asset pipelines, and ROS 2 integration, while aligning simulation with evolving hardware.

You’ll define architecture, fidelity, and tooling to enable multiple engineers to run useful simulations and tests within the robotics CI workflow.

• Experience building robotics simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Isaac Sim environment for robotics development.
• Keep digital twins and asset pipelines physically representative as hardware changes.
• Tune physics to match reality and diagnose non-physical behaviour.
• Own ROS 2 integration so simulation interfaces align with real systems.
• Build automated testing scenarios and CI integration for robotics.
• Identify sim-to-real gaps and close discrepancies that affect engineering decisions.
• Generate synthetic data for training and validation.
