Job summary

WSP, a global engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to work on highway design projects in the Roads sector. You will join a team delivering schemes for National Highways and Local Authority clients across the region, with hybrid working options in the UK.

The role involves developing designs, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers, with opportunities to progress towards professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards IEng or CEng is advantageous.
• Highways design experience per DMRB.
• Experience with Designers Duties under CDM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and specifications per DMRB.
• Develop designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Deliver work packages and potentially manage schemes and teams.
• Support Project Managers with planning, pricing, and deliverables.
• Check, certify, and issue designs and reports.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate resources.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver schemes.
