Job summary

WSP is a leading global engineering professional services firm seeking engineering professionals to join our expanding North West and Midlands Roads business in the UK. We design highway schemes for private developers, local authorities, and national clients such as National Highways and National Grid.

You will work within a high-performing team, contributing to design development, technical reports, and risk assessments while supporting project managers to meet budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent within a highway design role.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of highway designs for a diverse range of sectors, clients and projects through all stages of the project life cycle.
• Preparation of Works Information including specifications, technical reports and risk assessments.
• Support Project Managers to ensure schemes are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
• Work collaboratively with clients, key stakeholders and internal teams.
• On an ad hoc basis, support our projects with site supervision activities, monitoring Contractor’s compliance with the Contract and ensuring works are in line with the Works Information.
• You will be supported by a team of experienced and developing technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support as appropriate.
