We are partnering with a high-growth, tech-led insurance group that’s rethinking how complex risk is managed across borders. To support their continued expansion, they’re hiring a Senior Risk Officer into their centralised global risk function.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology to support the group’s enterprise risk framework and deliver actionable insights that protect and enable growth.

You’ll be expected to operate independently, thrive in a fast-moving and constantly evolving environment, and bring a practical, commercial lens to solving risk challenges.

Role Overview:

• Reports to the UK Risk Director (SMF4)
• No direct reports, but strong collaboration is essential
• Global cross-border exposure across the UK, EU, US, Bermuda, and Cayman
• Mix of enterprise, operational, and regulatory risk work
• Direct exposure to senior stakeholders and board-level initiatives
• Fully remote with occasional team strategy meetups

Ideal Background:

• Experience in enterprise and/or operational risk within the commercial insurance space
• Insurance background is essential
• Confident working across multiple jurisdictions and at pace
• Comfortable balancing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Tech risk exposure or a strong interest in tech-forward environments
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritise under pressure, and communicate effectively across functions
