We have an opportunity for a Senior Risk Officer to join our Risk department on a 12-month fixed-term contract at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, you will support the effective operation of the risk management department, including managing deadlines, forward planning, risk identification, assessment, and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include managing direct reports, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and sharing best practices in risk management across the business.
The role involves assisting the Head of Function with developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s risk framework, including compliance, annual reviews, and updates of risk policies. You will support quarterly risk and control self-assessment processes, the ORSA process, and the production of quarterly and annual risk reports. Additionally, you will develop and maintain the risk register, ensuring it is current, detailed, and effectively utilized within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive professional experience, a degree or equivalent professional qualification, and highly developed knowledge of organizational risk exposures. Preferably, you will have experience working within the London market and possess solid knowledge of accounting and financial environments. Excellent interpersonal, communication, project management, discussion leading, and problem-solving skills are essential.
