Job summary

HSBC Edinburgh seeks an Associate Director to lead senior risk and control efforts within Non-Financial Risk (NFR) across Funds Administration, Middle‑Office, Transfer Agency and Trustee. In the 1LoD, you’ll partner with NFR and COO teams to prevent issues, embed controls into product development, and strengthen RCA reporting.

You’ll work with Product, Technology and Operations to improve governance, data insights, and timely remediation, contributing to safer, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Management, Audit, Risk and/or Control roles within a global financial institution.
• Ability to influence and align stakeholders across geographies and functions with clear written and verbal communications.
• Experience embedding risk requirements into product development and change delivery with evidence-based governance.

Responsibilities

• Shape delivery of NFR across Funds Administration, Middle-Office, Transfer Agency and Trustee with senior stakeholders.
• Provide end-to-end oversight to prevent risks from becoming issues across processes.
• Coordinate regulatory and audit-related risk activities and escalate as needed.
• Embed NFR requirements into product development and change delivery with control design and testing evidence.
• Partner with Product, Technology and Operations to simplify and automate controls for effectiveness.
