If you're looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
This role is based in Edinburgh to join Securities Services as an Associate Director in a senior risk and control role supporting the oversight and execution of the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) framework across Funds Administration, Middle-Office, Transfer Agency and Trustee. Working within the 1LoD you'll partner closely with the Securities Services NFR and COO organisation, Risk and Control Owners and Risk Stewards across business, operations and technology. The focus is on identifying, assessing and monitoring risk early so issues are prevented rather than managed after the fact. You'll bring risk and control insight into product development and change delivery from initiation through implementation. Success means clearer governance and reporting, stronger and timelier RCA updates and sustainable remediation with fewer repeat incidents.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
This role offers the scope to improve how risk is understood, governed and acted on across a complex Securities Services environment. You'll help build clearer, more actionable risk appetite monitoring and strengthen the quality and timeliness of RCA updates and governance MI. By embedding risk into change delivery and supporting control simplification and automation you'll help reduce late-stage control gaps and repeat incidents. If you're looking to apply risk and control expertise where it directly improves customer outcomes and operational performance we'd like to hear from you.
