Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an RF and Signal Processing Specialist for the Systems Engineering Function in Luton. You will design requirements for core signal processing kernels and work on future EW and military aircraft technologies.

The role involves on-site work at the UK site in Luton, collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams, and opportunities to mentor engineers and contribute to customer-facing reports and proposals.

Qualifications

• Science honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Industrial or academic research experience.
• Mathematical background in data analysis and pattern matching.
• Experience in design of algorithms for embedded real-time systems.
• Knowledge of Sensor Fusion technologies.
• EW domain knowledge or interest.
• Desire for continuous learning and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Engage in multidisciplinary system design to bridge theory and practical implementation.
• Define requirements for new systems and evaluate trade-offs.
• Enhance capabilities of in-service systems through engineering.
• Design and integrate new functionality into existing platforms.
• Model systems to understand observed performance via simulations.
• Lead technical activities and mentor other engineers.
• Prepare reports, presentations and proposals for customers.
