Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in the UK seeks an RF and Signal Processing Specialist within the Systems Engineering Function to design and develop requirements that sit at the heart of our products on the core signal processing kernel.

The role is on-site at our Luton facility, with involvement in RAF aircraft programs, GCAP, and EW technology demonstrations. Strong systems engineering knowledge and hands-on algorithm design are essential.

Qualifications

• A science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Industrial or academic research experience.
• Mathematical Background in data analysis and pattern matching.
• Experience in design of algorithms for embedded real‑time systems.
• Knowledge of Sensor Fusion technologies and strategies.
• Experience or a desire to gain electronic warfare domain knowledge.
• A desire to further your engineering knowledge through training, team working and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Work in multidisciplinary teams to bridge theory and practical implementation of high‑performance systems.
• Engage with stakeholders, defining requirements for new systems.
• Conduct cost and functional performance trade‑offs and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Enhance capabilities of in‑service systems and design/integrate new functionality.
• Model systems to understand observed performance and conduct testing and trials.
• Lead technical activities and mentoring of other engineers.
• Prepare reports, presentations and proposals for customers and partners.
