Job summary

NHS Fife is recruiting a Research Nurse to increase patient recruitment across a range of studies within the R&D Department at Queen Margaret Hospital. This Band 6 post is fixed-term for 21 months and requires strong leadership of a study-management team, excellent clinical care, and robust data handling.

The role involves supporting investigators, coordinating study set-up and approvals, and managing multiple trials with the ability to travel between NHS Fife sites.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with experience in clinical trials.
• Excellent organisational and IT skills are essential.
• Experience in research governance and patient data handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead study management across commercial and non-commercial trials.
• Assist with study approvals, setup, and patient recruitment.
• Provide high-quality clinical care and participant monitoring.
• Liaise with national trial centres and study monitors.
