Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a specialist respiratory physiotherapist to work in outpatient clinics and acute assessment areas. You will assess and diagnose complex respiratory disease, deliver evidence-based treatment and provide autonomous clinical leadership.

The role includes leading teaching, MDT collaboration, KPI reporting and involvement in audits and service development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in physiotherapy.
• Masters degree or evidence of working at an equivalent level.
• Continuing professional development, including recent postgraduate courses in the clinical field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced respiratory assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for complex acute and chronic patients, mainly in outpatients.
• Lead departmental audit and supervise, initiate and take part in evidence-based projects, including recommending practice change.
• Provide skilled team leadership, including operational management, team development and setting and monitoring standards of practice.
• Report into national audits relevant to the clinical area and report regularly to stakeholders on service KPIs.
