Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated, experienced respiratory Physiotherapist for a 0.5 wte (part-time) B7 post in the Respiratory Centre (TRC).

The role involves leading a team of physiotherapists, conducting Respiratory outpatients clinics alongside MDT involvement, supervising students, and supporting acute ward care including on-call nights and weekends across adult and pediatric populations.

Qualifications

• Physiotherapy qualification.
• Expert clinical skills in treating acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Experience in breathing pattern rehabilitation and airway clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical audits and research.
• Experience in an acute NHS hospital setting and on-call service.

Responsibilities

• Lead physiotherapy in the Respiratory Centre and MDT clinics.
• Supervise students and junior staff.
• Provide respiratory input during on-call and twilight shifts across wards.
• Support research activities and regular audits.
• Contribute to strategic development of the therapy service.
